Coding in Minecraft Pilot

by Peter Doherty 5 years, 9 months ago

Hi Everyone,

Great meeting those of you involved in the Coding in Minecraft Pilot in person or virtually over the past 2 days.

It was certainly an experience delivering the training virtually – hopefully everyone was able to do the activities without issue – if you did come across any problems and didn’t want to raise them publicly on the call please drop me a line and I’ll get back to you.

To further answer some of the questions which came up today please take a look at the below links and drop me a line if you have any further questions:

My colleague Eric Robertson has asked me to further post the below:

Everyone, we will want to set up a weekly call to simply touch base and connect on what you are doing and what support you need to be successful. I envision this as a 30 minute call wherein you all quickly share:

  1. What you did that week
  2. What went well
  3. What were the issues

So my first ASK is for you to ID a day and time that works for a standing call. @Matt B. Hawkins can you help us select an option or two?

Secondly, I wanted to share with you the survey questions we are thinking about. After you have piloted a course we will ask you to fill out a short web survey – 15 minutes or so… To help us gather additional feedback. Attached is a PPT that outlines these questions and the general pilot time line. See slide 8.

Thanks again for participating in this pilot. I look forward to watching CS grow in Michigan through all of your hard work and commitment!

Thanks,

Peter & Eric
