Airport transfer services vs. taxi: Which is more cost-effective for groups?

We’re planning a family trip to Europe with 10 people, and I’m trying to figure out the best way to get from the airport to our hotel. I’m stuck between booking an airport transfer service or just taking a couple of taxis. I feel like taxis might be more flexible, but with so many people and luggage, it could get messy. I’ve never booked a private airport transfer before, so I’m not sure how it works. Has anyone done both and can share what’s better for a big group?

If you’re traveling with a group of 10, I would definitely recommend booking an airport transfer. We did something similar last year for a trip to Germany. Instead of squeezing into multiple taxis, we booked a shuttle bus cologne. It was so much easier because the whole group stayed together, and there was plenty of space for our luggage. Plus, the cost was actually cheaper than paying for 3 separate taxis. And with a pre-booked service, you know the driver is already waiting for you at the airport. No need to stress about finding taxis for a big group.

I think both options have their pros and cons. Taxis are good if you have a smaller group and don’t mind splitting up, but for a big family trip, I’d go with a shuttle or airport transfer. I’ve seen so many people struggling at airports, trying to fit all their bags into small taxis. It’s stressful. If I ever plan a trip with a large group, I’d rather have one big ride for everyone. Sounds more relaxing and way less complicated.
