1. If using the PowerPoint for this lesson, review to check formatting on your computer. It might be necessary to change font or font size to appear correctly on your computer. To use as a classroom presentation, appropriate slide numbers are indicated in parentheses under Earth’s Energy Budget teacher notes. Some slides may be used to print color transparencies.

2. Make transparencies of Electromagnetic Spectrum, and Feedback Cycles.

3. Make copies of Radiation from the Sun and Earth student activity.

4. For option 1: make copies of Earth’s Energy Budget Parts 1-4 student activities.

5. For option 2: make copies of Balancing the Energy Budget (student activity).

6. Check that the computer system can play the videos on the MEECS Climate Change Resource DVD.

7. Make a transparency of Energy Budget Changes Since 1950 or use PowerPoint slide.
