VocabularySpellingCity is a spelling and vocabulary website and app that allows the teacher to input spelling lists for students to practice. The site also has premade lists.

Squishy Circuits are fun for all ages! Use conductive dough and insulating dough to teach the basics of electrical circuits in a fun, hands-on way. Students can create a circuit which will Illuminate LED lights, make a motor spin, or a buzzer sound. Power is supplied by a 4AA battery pack and travels through the conductive dough to provide power to LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes), buzzers, or motors.

Star Chart is an app for your iPad or Android device. Students can learn about constellations by aiming their phones at the night sky.

This project is modeled after a book called The Scrambled States of America by Laurie Keller. After reading the book students will create their own state and make it come to life. Students will research a state of their choice. They will collect basic facts about their state including what region it is a part of. Then they will evaluate their facts to decide which should be shared. They will use an app called ChatterPix (iOS) to share their work.

Students will be learning basic mouse skills since many students entering Kindergarten have spent a majority of their screen time using a device to tap instead of click and dragging.

In this activity, students will learn the basics of stop motion animation so they can use this technique to display their learning in a variety of subject areas.

There is a free app for both Andoid and iOS that your students can use, but there are in-app purchases that may be necessary for any extra features needed for a professional looking product. The students will get their feet wet with the free version though.

Koma Koma is a great application for an iPad or tablet. It is a quick and easy way for beginners to create stop motion videos.

Students need to learn early on how important it is to create orginal work. Luckily there are digital tools to help students ensure that when they are doing their research that they are not copying the work of others.

Students will use the free site Into the Book to learn and practice strategies that will allow them to dig deeper into various reading concepts to gain a stronger understanding of text.

Storyboard That is an online storyboard that is like a graphic organizer. It can be used by students and teachers to create storyboards using motion picture, animation, motion graphics, and interactive media.

StoryBots Classroom is a resource for educators that includes unlimited access to hundreds of videos, books, games and activities for use on interactive whiteboards, tablets and laptops in the classroom.

Storyline Online is a free interactive site that features videos of celebrated actors reading children's books. They are creatively produced with motion graphics which include visual effects such as camera pans, movement, music, and sound effects.

Children love to tell stories. They will make up something that happened to them just to be able to tell a story. In this lesson students will take a story they have written and publish it using Google Slides or PowerPoint. They will be able to insert pictures and speech bubbles to make their story come to life for their audience.

Do the egg drop challenge with Strawbees! Have the students be innovative designers and construct a model for the egg with the Strawbees so when it is dropped, it will not break. The students are learning about force and gravity. Using technology they can gather information to look at how they can develop the best model.

Students will follow a design process to create a video tutorial by recording the screen. Screencasting is a great way to capture the screen of your computer to create how-to videos.

As students are becoming more exposed to computers/laptops and beginning to learn proper finger placement on the keys a cardboard replica is a great way to reinforce this information when students are away from the real item.

Scholastic has produced a FREE website full of educational videos and step-by-step slides for students to work on. Study Jams focuses on science and mathematical concepts that are prevalent in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade.

Students will be able to learn about verb tenses by watching instructional videos on the definition of verb tenses and how they are used in sentences. Finally, students will be able to check their knowledge of verbs through games and online quizzes and apply their knowledge in their own writing.
