Seterra is an online ultimate map quiz game that allows students to practice their map skills. It can also be used as a map quiz to give students a score. There are many options that students can choose to create an environment where map skills are fun!

There are patterns in everything we see. In kindergarten, students begin to learn to recognize basic shapes like circles, ovals, squares and rectangles. They will learn that the shapes often form patterns that can be orderly and sequential and others that might appear to be random. Students will enjoy taking digital pictures of nature and finding the mathematical patterns. They will create a slide show together of the pictures they have taken and identify the patterns in each one.

The internet is like one big online neighborhood that students need to learn to navigate. Just like in a physical neighborhood, there are rules that help us navigate our neighborhood well. Students will be making a comparison between the physical and online environments that they visit and how to stay safe in both.

Note taking is an essential skill that should begin in the elementary. Students should be taking notes as they do research, watch videos and listen to lectures. Research shows that when students listen to a lecture that if they take notes they will better retain the information. The students can highlight the key ideas and add their own thoughts to help them study for a test.

Students will use Paint, a Microsoft Windows Desktop app, to practice mouse skills, paint shapes, fill shapes using paint bucket as well as identify and create a pattern

Students should begin at a young age to plan out their stories before they write them. There are resources that make the brainstorming task engaging for students so they get in the habit of mind mapping out their story or essay.

Prodigy is an online curriculum aligned math practice website. Students complete math tasks and earn play time which is in a video game format. It is an adaptive math program.

Read Theory is an online tool that offers reading activities for all levels. It will adapt to the student’s individual lexile level. It provides a plethora of articles with skill building exercises. It provides data on each student.

In this activity, students will read a piece that is uploaded to SeeSaw by the teacher. The teacher may want to have students use the piece again in the year to measure growth.

Students will demonstrate learning by designing a slide using a collaborative presentation tool, such as Google Slides. Students may choose to use words, images, GIFS, or a combination of these in order to showcase their understanding of a given topic

Socrative, an online student response system, quickly assess students with prepared activities or on-the-fly questions to get immediate insight into student understanding.

StoryBots Classroom is a resource for educators that includes unlimited access to hundreds of videos, books, games and activities for use on interactive whiteboards, tablets and laptops in the classroom.
